Hands off Venezuela – stop the violation of international law
The Trade Union Association of Bohemia, Moravia, Silesia unequivocally condemns the act of state terrorism and aggression carried out by the United States of America with its attack on the sovereign country of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the kidnapping of the president and his wife of this state. We express our indignation at this aggression, which represents a gross violation of international law, an unprecedented violation of the fundamental principles of the Charter of the United Nations, Articles 1 and 2 of this Charter.
Thus, the hypocrisy, the true nature of capitalism and the imperialist powers, the USA, is once again revealed in full nakedness. The people of Venezuela have the full right to decide on their own future and to decide on the organization of relations in their country. The USA has no right to take decisions that interfere with the first relations and sovereignty of other countries. It has been fully demonstrated that the US government does not shy away from acting in a criminal manner when it wants to secure free markets, raw materials, oil for its financial oligarchy, multinational corporations and US hegemony in the world. Latin America is not the US backyard or property. With US aggression, peace and stability in the Latin American and Caribbean region are once again seriously threatened.
We express our deep solidarity with the people of Venezuela. We reject any old or new form of colonialism and slavery. With US aggression against Venezuela, the world has once again become less safe. Military aggression is not the path to peaceful coexistence and mutual respect.
We join the LAB call and also call on the international community, trade union and social movements of democratic forces to mobilize in defense of peace, sovereignty and social justice.
Only workers and other working people can actively and effectively defend themselves against warlike aggressions and war madness through their international solidarity.
