The new development following the decision of the US and other NATO states to allow the use of long-range missiles into Russian territory and the recent attack utilizing those missiles, which was followed by changes to Russia’s nuclear doctrine, constitutes an extremely dangerous escalation and a further step towards the generalization and further expansion of the NATO-Russia war, which is already underway.
The World Federation of Trade Unions, representing millions of workers across the globe, unequivocally condemns the continued escalation of the war in Ukraine. The peoples are paying price of imperialist wars and interventions with their dead, refugees, immigrants, impoverishment, and poverty.
The WFTU calls the militant class-oriented trade union movement all over the world to intensify their action and to develop initiatives against imperialist wars and interventions, for the disengagement from NATO, for the dissolution of NATO and all military coalitions, for the abolition of nuclear weapons, for peace and social justice.
