The European Regional Office of the World Federation of Trade Unions expresses its utmost solidarity with the workers of the Czech Republic and their trade unions who have decided to call strikes against the “austerity package” that the government wants to implement and which will worsen the already harsh working, wage and living conditions of the working class.
The Czech government, like the governments of Greece, Italy, Portugal, France, etc., is continuing its attack on workers’ rights by following the dictates of the European Union, questioning pensions and welfare and trying to pass on the costs of supporting the war to the people.
We stand by our comrades organised in the class union OS ČMS and all the workers and support their struggle.
