The WFTU Secretariat met at its headquarters in Athens on September 11th, 2026.
The implementation of the WFTU’s action plan was thoroughly discussed, along with current developments at the international level.
Furthermore, the meeting focused on preparing the upcoming Presidential Council in next December, which, among others, will prepare the organization of the 19th World Trade Union Congress, scheduled to take place in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on May 13–15, 2027.More relevant announcements and documents will be published in due time.
