A Lesson in Dignity from Albanian Citizens
For two months, on a daily basis, Albanian citizens have been clashing with their government, the Trump family, and monopolistic cartels in the tourism sector. They are defending their land, their beaches, their homes, and their natural environment. They are giving their blood to resist the predatory plans of multinationals.
They deserve congratulations. And perhaps, deep within the DNA of these people, some sparks remain alive from the era of resistance against the armies of Hitler and Mussolini, as well as from the socio-economic system that educated them for nearly half a century.
