CITU: 3 Indian workers killed! The US Navy is their Murderer!

3 Indian workers killed! The US Navy is their Murderer!

The Modi government shamelessly refuses to even name the murderers!

They were not soldiers. They were not combatants. They were seafarers – workers keeping the world’s trade alive, far from home, at sea.

On 11th June 2026, the US Navy attacked the oil tanker MT Settebello near the Strait of Hormuz. Three Indian workers died. Twenty-one were rescued. Other Indian-crewed vessels – MT Marivex and MT Jalveer – were also attacked.

And the Modi government? Silence!

This is not diplomacy. This is surrender.

India has over 3 lakh seafarers on the world’s oceans. Their lives are a matter of national dignity. When a foreign military kills Indian workers in international waters, the government of India must speak – loudly and firmly.

CITU demands:

đź”´ Full independent international inquiry

đź”´ Accountability for the US military attack

đź”´ Immediate protection for Indian seafarers in conflict zones

đź”´ Justice and compensation for the martyred workers’ families

Seafarers are workers. Workers’ lives matter. US imperialism kills – and silence makes you complicit.

CITU stands with the martyred.

Forward Seamen’s Union of India (Affiliated to CITU) has been actively intervening to ensure the safety of seafarers amidst the escalating war situation.

We will ensure that justice prevails.
