Today, we launch a new series of statements from class-oriented trade unionists around the world, in solidarity with the heroic people of Cuba and the Cuban Revolution, against the imperialists and the criminal US blockade. Our first stop is the Czech Republic, with the statement of Stanislav Grospič, President of the Trade Union Association of Bohemia, Moravia & Silesia.
Stop Threats to Cuba and Its People
Trade Union Association of Bohemia, Moravia & Silesia expresses deep solidarity with the Cuban people, Cuban workers and the Central Union of Workers of Cuba in the fight against American imperialism.
Cuba and its people must not become the target of further military, economic and political aggression of the US, as Venezuela has become in recent days. The heroic people of Cuba, which for many decades has faced escalating blockade by the US, have an inalienable right to their sovereignty.
The rape of US international law, under fictitious pretexts concealing the real aggressive interests of multinational monopolies, financial capital and the military-industrial complex about the expansion of spheres of influence, must end. The blockade of Cuba must also end as well, immediately.
We stand firmly behind the people of Cuba expressing our support for them.
At the same time, we express our deepest condolences to the families, relatives and friends of the 32 Cubans to be killed during the action of the US troops that illegally kidnapped President Maduro.
