The International Department of the USB is organising an online meeting which will take place on the 19th of May, at 5 pm.

Dear comrades
this period of great international upheaval, with the ongoing war in Europe and the dramatic situation in Palestine and throughout the Middle East, demands our utmost attention and the need to maintain a high level of initiative in support of peace and to prevent workers from paying the highest price in terms of social and economic rights to finance rearmament and common defence.
Since its inception, the USB has decided to join the World Federation of Trade Unions, which this year celebrates the 80th anniversary of its founding at the International Assembly in Paris in October 1945.
Today, the WFTU is at the forefront of mobilisations against war, rearmament and the genocide of the Palestinian people and continues its commitment to struggle and international solidarity.
The 80th anniversary of the WFTU, which will be celebrated in Paris on 3 and 4 October, on the same days and in the same places where the great International Constituent Assembly took place, is an opportunity for us in the USB to reflect on the importance of the international labour movement and the need to make our members and workers aware of the role and work that the USB is doing at the international level.
Don’t miss it!
