10,000 workers, young people, students, pacifists invaded the Port of Genoa on Saturday 25 February in response to the call to demonstrate against the war and NATO,
launched by the port workers and CALP-USB on the first anniversary of the war in Ukraine.
The national demonstration was filled with thousands of comrades from all over Italy.
The historic Genoese workers’ vanguard took on the task of reuniting the ongoing struggles against the war and the sending of arms to Ukraine, against fascism, for the revival of the struggles for wages and pensions.
On the day of the demonstration the ‘USB mare e porti’ called a general strike of port workers to denounce the continuous accidents and deaths at work and to defend the right to strike against government attacks.
