\u03a4oday, the workers of all Community Kindergartens in Cyprus have gone on a 24-hour warning strike. The main demands and reasons for the strike include the continued downgrading and gradual shrinking of Community Kindergartens, which threatens the viability of the institution; the loss of jobs for qualified kindergarten teachers and school support staff; and the failure to implement the 2018 agreement that provided for the transfer of Community Kindergartens to School Boards.
