School, research and university workers together with thousands of students and university students today went on strike and demonstrated in more than 30 Italian cities for the right to a contract and real pay rises outside compatibility, and against the right-wing government’s school reform that wants to turn back the clock of history by cancelling the class achievements of the students’ and teachers’ movement. Well present in the demonstrations was the NO to the European union and the war economy with which capital is trying to overthrow the cost of the crisis onto the workers and the popular and student masses. Large EU flags were burned in many squares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
