On its meeting on February 8, 2025, the Trade Union Association of Bohemia, Moravia & Silesia\u2019s Central Council decided to declare a general strike for the entire TU Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
By declaring a general strike, the Trade Union Association of Bohemia, Moravia & Silesia joins other trade unions in declaring a general strike and thus expressing a resolute protest against the pending amendment to the Labour Code, in particular the attempt to legalize child labour from the age of 14, and the introduction of dismissal from work without giving reasons. We are ready to declare a general strike and other forms of employee protests if these right-wing proposals for the liberalization of the labour law are adopted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We thus express a resolute protest against these efforts of both the government and the right-wing government coalition\u2019s deputies to liberalize the labour law, to make the job position and protection of employees significantly more difficult and to take the path of modern slavery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We shall defend the rights and position of employees by all available means!<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
