ESP: La Federaci\u00f3n Sindical Mundial (FSM) toma nota del reciente anuncio del gobierno de los Estados Unidos sobre medidas que afectan su pol\u00edtica hacia Cuba, incluyendo la eliminaci\u00f3n de Cuba de la lista de los llamados “Estados Patrocinadores del Terrorismo”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Si bien esta acci\u00f3n representa un paso en la direcci\u00f3n correcta, es insuficiente para abordar el problema central: el bloqueo econ\u00f3mico asesino, ilegal e inhumano que ha sido impuesto al pueblo cubano durante m\u00e1s de seis d\u00e9cadas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
El bloqueo ha causado graves dificultades econ\u00f3micas y sociales al pueblo cubano, cortando el acceso a recursos esenciales, limitando el desarrollo econ\u00f3mico y restringiendo su derecho a la autodeterminaci\u00f3n. Este bloqueo constituye una flagrante violaci\u00f3n del derecho internacional, obstaculizando el derecho del pueblo cubano al trabajo digno y su libertad para definir su futuro econ\u00f3mico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
La FSM extiende su gratitud al movimiento internacional de solidaridad con Cuba, cuyas luchas incansables y solidaridad han mantenido la exigencia de justicia en el centro del discurso internacional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A pesar de este avance positivo, la lucha est\u00e1 lejos de terminar. La FSM reitera su demanda inquebrantable de:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 El levantamiento inmediato y completo del bloqueo econ\u00f3mico de EE. UU. contra Cuba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 El fin de todas las formas de interferencia externa en la soberan\u00eda de Cuba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 El derecho innegociable del pueblo cubano a determinar su futuro. Apoyamos su justa demanda por una recuperaci\u00f3n pac\u00edfica y el fin de todas las medidas coercitivas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While this action represents a step in the right direction, it is insufficient to address the core problem: the murderous, illegal and inhumane economic blockade that has been imposed on the Cuban people for more than six decades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The blockade has caused severe economic and social hardship to the Cuban people, cutting off access to essential resources, limiting economic development and restricting their right to self-determination. This blockade constitutes a flagrant violation of international law, hindering the right of the Cuban people to decent work and their freedom to define their economic future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The WFTU extends its gratitude to the international movement of solidarity with Cuba, whose tireless struggles and solidarity have kept the demand for justice at the center of international debate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
