{"id":3082,"date":"2023-11-28T12:25:49","date_gmt":"2023-11-28T10:25:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eurof-wftu.eu\/?p=3082"},"modified":"2023-11-28T12:25:50","modified_gmt":"2023-11-28T10:25:50","slug":"the-meloni-government-launches-a-frontal-attack-on-the-usb-and-the-right-to-strike-in-italy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eurof-wftu.eu\/?p=3082","title":{"rendered":"The Meloni government launches a frontal attack on the USB and the right to strike in Italy"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>The Meloni government launches a frontal attack on the USB and the right to strike in Italy<\/strong><br><br>In the last two months, three strikes in the transport sector have been directly banned and reduced in working time by Minister Salvini, a member of the Lega in the right-wing government led by Giorgia Meloni, despite the fact that they had been called in accordance with the law, which in Italy is one of the most restrictive in Europe, and despite the fact that the Guarantee Commission established by law had not objected to their regularity.<br><br>The minister&#8217;s intervention not only shortened the duration of the strikes, but also imposed fines on the trade union organisations that promoted them, as well as punishments for workers who joined them.<br><br>The main objectives of the strikes were the demand for significant wage increases, the rejection of privatisation in order to guarantee a quality public service and the protection of workers&#8217; health and safety.<br><br>The justifications for this serious intervention are ridiculous and lack any objectivity, based on the consideration that strikes could have a high level of support among workers and therefore damage the mobility of citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;In short, according to the Meloni government and Minister Salvini, in order to be allowed, strikes should have low participation and not cause any inconvenience.<br><br>It is clear that there is an attempt to definitively abolish the right to strike in Italy, thus paving the way for restrictive measures in the rest of the European countries, where similar attempts to introduce pejorative changes to the rules on strikes have been underway for some time.<br><br>Two years ago, the USB sent a complaint to the European Commission highlighting the totally undemocratic nature of the Italian legislation on strikes, pointing out all the violations of the Italian Constitution and the European Union rules on the subject.<br><br>USB Transport has decided not to accept the reduction of strikes from 24 hours to 4 hours imposed by the government, and has postponed and rescheduled strikes for 24 hours from week to week, challenging the government to continue with this fascist practice and mobilising all categories to defend the right to strike.<br><br><strong>USB Transport<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>*****************************<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>El gobierno de Meloni lanza un ataque frontal contra el USB y el derecho de huelga en Italia.<\/strong><br><br>En los \u00faltimos dos meses, tres huelgas en el sector del transporte han sido directamente prohibidas y reducidas en su tiempo de trabajo por el ministro Salvini, miembro de la Lega en el gobierno de derechas que preside Giorgia Meloni, a pesar de que hab\u00edan sido convocadas de acuerdo con la ley, que en Italia es una de las m\u00e1s restrictivas de Europa, y a pesar de que la Comisi\u00f3n de Garant\u00edas establecida por ley no hab\u00eda puesto objeciones a su regularidad.<br><br>La intervenci\u00f3n del ministro no s\u00f3lo acort\u00f3 la duraci\u00f3n de las huelgas, sino que tambi\u00e9n impuso multas a las organizaciones sindicales que las promovieron, as\u00ed como castigos a los trabajadores que se sumaron a ellas.<br><br>Los principales objetivos de las huelgas eran la reivindicaci\u00f3n de importantes aumentos salariales, el rechazo de la privatizaci\u00f3n para garantizar un servicio p\u00fablico de calidad y la protecci\u00f3n de la salud y la seguridad de los trabajadores.<br><br>Las justificaciones de esta grave intervenci\u00f3n son rid\u00edculas y carecen de toda objetividad, bas\u00e1ndose en la consideraci\u00f3n de que las huelgas podr\u00edan tener un alto nivel de apoyo entre los trabajadores y, por tanto, perjudicar la movilidad de los ciudadanos. En definitiva, seg\u00fan el gobierno de Meloni y el ministro Salvini, para ser permitidas, las huelgas deben tener una baja participaci\u00f3n y no causar molestias.<br><br>Est\u00e1 claro que se intenta abolir definitivamente el derecho de huelga en Italia, allanando as\u00ed el camino a medidas restrictivas en el resto de los pa\u00edses europeos, donde desde hace tiempo se llevan a cabo intentos similares de introducir cambios peyorativos en las normas sobre huelgas.<br><br>Hace dos a\u00f1os, la USB envi\u00f3 una denuncia a la Comisi\u00f3n Europea en la que pon\u00eda de relieve el car\u00e1cter totalmente antidemocr\u00e1tico de la legislaci\u00f3n italiana sobre huelgas, se\u00f1alando todas las violaciones de la Constituci\u00f3n italiana y de las normas de la Uni\u00f3n Europea en la materia.<br><br>USB Transport ha decidido no aceptar la reducci\u00f3n de las huelgas de 24 horas a 4 horas impuesta por el gobierno, y ha pospuesto y reprogramado las huelgas de 24 horas de una semana a otra, desafiando al gobierno a continuar con esta pr\u00e1ctica fascista y movilizando a todas las categor\u00edas para defender el derecho de huelga.<br><strong><br>USB Transporte<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>*****************************<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Le gouvernement Meloni lance une attaque frontale contre l&#8217;USB et le droit de gr\u00e8ve en Italie.<\/strong><br><br>Au cours des deux derniers mois, trois gr\u00e8ves dans le secteur des transports ont \u00e9t\u00e9 directement interdites et r\u00e9duites en temps de travail par le ministre Salvini, membre de la Lega du gouvernement de droite dirig\u00e9 par Giorgia Meloni, bien qu&#8217;elles aient \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9clench\u00e9es conform\u00e9ment \u00e0 la loi, qui est en Italie l&#8217;une des plus restrictives d&#8217;Europe, et bien que la Commission de garantie \u00e9tablie par la loi n&#8217;ait pas \u00e9mis d&#8217;objection quant \u00e0 leur r\u00e9gularit\u00e9.<br><br>L&#8217;intervention du ministre a permis non seulement de raccourcir la dur\u00e9e des gr\u00e8ves, mais aussi d&#8217;infliger des amendes aux organisations syndicales qui les avaient encourag\u00e9es, ainsi que des sanctions aux travailleurs qui les avaient rejointes.<br><br>Les principaux objectifs des gr\u00e8ves \u00e9taient la revendication d&#8217;augmentations salariales significatives, le rejet de la privatisation afin de garantir un service public de qualit\u00e9 et la protection de la sant\u00e9 et de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des travailleurs.<br><br>Les justifications de cette grave intervention sont ridicules et manquent d&#8217;objectivit\u00e9, car elles se fondent sur le fait que les gr\u00e8ves pourraient b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier d&#8217;un soutien important de la part des travailleurs et nuire ainsi \u00e0 la mobilit\u00e9 des citoyens.
