Starting tomorrow, the leaders of the European trade union organisations affiliated to the ETUC will meet in Berlin to celebrate the extraordinary congress called after the very serious Quatargate scandal involving the top management of the ETUC and ITUC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, corruption is absent from the central themes of the congress, with no mention of the scandal of the 50,000 euros paid by emissaries of the government of Qatar to the ITUC General Secretary Luca Visentini until November 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Above all, there seems to be no discussion on the agenda as to why the Italian trade unionist accepted the money: to avoid any criticism, any denunciation of the treatment of workers involved in the construction of the stadiums for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Together with MEPs and key NGO representatives, the ETUC, through Visentini, promised to avert a condemnation by the European Commission, which could have damaged the image built up around the sporting event, in exchange for the 50,000 euros in cash handed over by two men from the Qatari government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The European Yellow Union, which has not issued any statement in recent months to explain what happened, is today renewing its leadership in the presence of Ursula von der Leyen and Nicolas Schmit, the European Commissioner for Employment and Social Affairs, to whom it will hand over a union that has been formally purged, but which is determined to continue its work of accompanying and being complicit in the European Union’s destruction of the trade union and social rights of European workers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Moreover, in a conference organised as part of the congress work, the ETUC will hold a debate entitled “East-West trade union relations during the Cold War”, confirming its Atlanticist loyalty and in full continuity with the break with the decisions taken in 1949 within the World Federation of Trade Unions by some of the largest European organisations alongside those of the USA, in a pathetic and unsuccessful attempt to exorcise the strengthening of the WFTU, the international class union, also in Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

D\u00e8s demain \u00e0 Berlin, les dirigeants des organisations syndicales europ\u00e9ennes membres de la CES se r\u00e9unissent pour c\u00e9l\u00e9brer le congr\u00e8s extraordinaire convoqu\u00e9 apr\u00e8s le tr\u00e8s grave scandale du Quatargate impliquant la haute direction de la CES et de la CSI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cependant, la corruption est absente des th\u00e8mes au centre du Congr\u00e8s, aucune mention du scandale des 50.000 euros vers\u00e9s par des \u00e9missaires du gouvernement du Quatar \u00e0 Luca Visentini, alors secr\u00e9taire g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de la CSI, jusqu’en novembre 2022. Surtout, il ne semble pas y avoir de discussion \u00e0 l’ordre du jour sur les raisons pour lesquelles le syndicaliste italien a pris cet argent : \u00e9viter toute critique, toute d\u00e9nonciation du traitement re\u00e7u par les travailleurs engag\u00e9s dans la construction des stades de la Coupe du Monde 2022 au Quatar. Avec des parlementaires europ\u00e9ens et d’importants repr\u00e9sentants d’ONG, la CES, par l’interm\u00e9diaire de Visentini, s’est engag\u00e9e, en \u00e9change des 50.000 euros remis en liquide par deux hommes du gouvernement de Quatar, \u00e0 \u00e9viter un jugement de condamnation de la Commission europ\u00e9enne qui aurait pu nuire \u00e0 l’image construite autour de l’\u00e9v\u00e9nement sportif.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Le syndicat jaune europ\u00e9en, qui ces derniers mois n’a publi\u00e9 aucun communiqu\u00e9 expliquant ce qui s’est pass\u00e9, renouvelle aujourd’hui sa direction en pr\u00e9sence d’Ursula Von derLeyen et de Nicolas Schmit, commissaire europ\u00e9en au oeuvre, \u00e0 qui il remettra un syndicat formellement nettoy\u00e9 mais d\u00e9sireux de poursuivre son travail d’accompagnement et complice du travail de l’Union europ\u00e9enne dans la destruction des droits syndicaux et sociaux des travailleurs europ\u00e9ens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Par ailleurs, dans une conf\u00e9rence organis\u00e9e dans le cadre des travaux du congr\u00e8s, la CES tiendra un d\u00e9bat intitul\u00e9 “Les relations syndicales Est-Ouest pendant la guerre froide”, confirmant sa loyaut\u00e9 atlantique et en pleine continuit\u00e9 avec la rupture des choix op\u00e9r\u00e9s en 1949 au sein de la F\u00e9d\u00e9ration syndicale mondiale par quelques-unes des plus grandes organisations europ\u00e9ennes aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de celles des \u00c9tats-Unis, dans une tentative path\u00e9tique et infructueuse d’exorciser le renforcement de la FSM, le syndicat international de classe, en Europe \u00e9galement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hacen como que no pasa nada para seguir sirviendo a la Uni\u00f3n Europea y a los intereses del capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A partir de ma\u00f1ana se re\u00fanen en Berl\u00edn los dirigentes de las organizaciones sindicales europeas pertenecientes a la CES para celebrar el Congreso extraordinario convocado tras el grav\u00edsimo esc\u00e1ndalo del Quatargate que se han visto implicados los m\u00e1ximos dirigentes de la CES y la CSI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sin embargo, la corrupci\u00f3n est\u00e1 ausente de los temas centrales del Congreso, ninguna menci\u00f3n al esc\u00e1ndalo de los 50.000 euros pagados por emisarios del gobierno de Quatar al entonces secretario general de la CSI Luca Visentini hasta noviembre de 2022. Sobre todo, parece que no se discute en el orden del d\u00eda por qu\u00e9 el sindicalista italiano se llev\u00f3 el dinero: para evitar cualquier cr\u00edtica, cualquier denuncia sobre el trato recibido por los trabajadores que participan en la construcci\u00f3n de los estadios de la Copa del Mundo de 2022 en Quatar. Junto a eurodiputados e importantes representantes de ONG, la CES, a trav\u00e9s de Visentini, se comprometi\u00f3, a cambio de los 50.000 euros entregados en met\u00e1lico por dos hombres del gobierno de Quatar, a evitar una sentencia condenatoria de la Comisi\u00f3n Europea que podr\u00eda haber da\u00f1ado la imagen construida en torno al evento deportivo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
El sindicato amarillo europeo, que en los \u00faltimos meses no ha emitido ning\u00fan comunicado explicando lo sucedido, renueva hoy su direcci\u00f3n en presencia de Ursula Von derLeyen y Nicolas Schmit, Comisario Europeo de Trabajo, a quienes entregar\u00e1 un sindicato formalmente limpio pero deseoso de continuar su labor de acompa\u00f1amiento y c\u00f3mplice de la labor de la Uni\u00f3n Europea en la destrucci\u00f3n de los derechos sindicales y sociales de los trabajadores europeos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Adem\u00e1s, en una conferencia organizada en el marco de los trabajos del congreso, la CES celebrar\u00e1 un debate titulado “Las relaciones sindicales Este-Oeste durante la guerra fr\u00eda”, confirmando su lealtad atl\u00e1ntica y en plena continuidad con la ruptura con las opciones tomadas en 1949 en el seno de la Federaci\u00f3n Sindical Mundial por algunas de las mayores organizaciones europeas junto a las de Estados Unidos, en un pat\u00e9tico e infructuoso intento de exorcizar el fortalecimiento de la FSM, el sindicato de clase internacional, tambi\u00e9n en Europa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Si riuniscono da\u00a0domani\u00a0a Berlino i vertici delle organizzazioni sindacali europee aderenti all\u2019ETUC per celebrare il Congresso straordinario convocato dopo il gravissimo scandalo del Quatargate che ha coinvolto i massimi vertici dell\u2019ETUC e dell\u2019ITUC.
Nei temi al centro del Congresso manca per\u00f2 la corruzione, nessun accenno allo scandalo dei 50.000 euro versati da emissari del governo del Quatar all\u2019allora Segretario generale dell\u2019ITUC Luca Visentini, gi\u00e0 segretario Generale dell\u2019ETUC fino a\u00a0novembre\u00a0del 2022. Soprattutto non sembra essere all\u2019ordine del giorno alcuna discussione sul motivo per cui il sindacalista italiano prese i soldi: evitare ogni critica, ogni denuncia dei trattamenti ricevuti dagli operai impegnati nella costruzione degli stadi dei mondiali di calcio del 2022 in Quatar. Insieme a parlamentari europei e importanti rappresentanti di ONG, l\u2019ETUC, attraverso Visentini, si \u00e8 impegnato, in cambio dei 50.000 euro consegnati in contanti da due uomini del governo del Quatar, a scongiurare un giudizio di condanna da parte della Commissione Europea che avrebbe potuto pregiudicare l\u2019immagine costruita attorno alla kermesse sportiva.
Il sindacato giallo europeo, che non ha espresso in questi mesi nessun comunicato di spiegazione su quanto accaduto,\u00a0oggi\u00a0rinnova i suoi vertici alla presenza di Ursula Von derLeyen e di Nicolas Schmit, il Commissario europeo del lavoro a cui verr\u00e0 consegnato un sindacato ripulito formalmente ma desideroso di continuare nella sua opera di accompagnamento e di complicit\u00e0 dell\u2019operato dell\u2019Unione Europea nella distruzione dei diritti sindacali e sociali dei lavoratori europei.
