On behalf of the European class oriented trade union movement, EUROF\ndenounces the attempt of a coup d\u2019etat in Venezuela, against the legitimate\ngovernment of Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We denounce and condemn the\nself-proclamation of a so-called interim President, with the support of the USA\nand the EU. This is another piece of the aggression against the Venezuelan\npeople that has included economic and diplomatic boycott, terrorist actions,\nsanctions and threats of military intervention by the USA-EU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What we are witnessing is the Venezuelan oligarchy, the USA and the EU\ntrying to take control of the immense natural resources of this country, particularly\nits oil. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In view of these developments, we declare:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1. Our full solidarity with the Venezualan people, with\nthe working class and the WFTU affiliated organizations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
2. We condemn the plans of the imperialists and we\nstate very loud and clear that the problems have to be resolved by the\nVenezuelan people. We do not accept any\nforeign interference with the objective of destabilizing economically,\npolitically and socially this Latin American country. The USA and the\nEuropean Union, highest exponents of the international imperialism, must take\ntheir hands off and leave their people in peace, to choose their own path and\ntheir own future.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
