{"id":1009,"date":"2018-12-18T13:31:41","date_gmt":"2018-12-18T13:31:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.eurof-wftu.org.cy\/?p=1009"},"modified":"2021-03-31T10:28:58","modified_gmt":"2021-03-31T10:28:58","slug":"statement-of-the-european-regional-office-of-world-federation-of-trade-unions-on-the-occasion-of-the-international-migrants-day-18th-of-december","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eurof-wftu.eu\/?p=1009","title":{"rendered":"Statement of the European Regional Office of World Federation of Trade Unions on the occasion of the International Migrants Day 18th of December"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The &nbsp;European Regional Office of World Federation\nof Trade Unions on the occasion of the International Migrants Day 18<sup>th<\/sup>\nof December expresses its internationalist solidarity with the millions of\nmigrant workers&nbsp; who abandoned their\ncountries and &nbsp;their homes in order to\nescape poverty and &nbsp;the imperialist wars\nand conflicts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All workers, whether they are foreigners or locals are class\nbrothers and our struggles are common, no matter the nationality, race, color\nof skin or religion are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is our duty as the class based trade\nunion movement in Europe to stand on the side of the immigrants, fight for the\nintegration of our class brothers and sisters in local societies and the\nclass-oriented struggles and to fight against the anti- immigrant policies\nof the European Union.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We must intensify our actions against\nimperialist barbarism, the termination of imperialist wars and the dissolution\nof NATO, which is the cause of the suffering of the peoples. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We need to struggle against the actions of the ultra-right\nwing fascist groups, against nationalism that is dividing working people, against\nracism and xenophobia, which enables capital to intensify its exploitation to\nthe detriment of workers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With our struggles we are asserting a peaceful world and a\nsociety of justice without poverty, wars and immigrants. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The &nbsp;European Regional Office of World Federation of Trade Unions on the occasion of the International Migrants Day 18th of December expresses its internationalist solidarity with the millions of migrant workers&nbsp; who abandoned their countries and &nbsp;their homes in order to escape poverty and &nbsp;the imperialist wars and conflicts.
